Beaver Dam, KY — WPT Nonwovens Corporation has announced that they have invested $18.5 million in a new man-made fiber (MMF) nonwoven manufacturing line that will add 35 new jobs to the existing WPT workforce of 110 employees. The new manufacturing line will be housed in a newly constructed 75,000 square feet building owned by WPT Nonwovens.
For the Beaver Dam community, the new manufacturing line and brand new facility means a robust new source for economic growth. It also means a significant amount of new job opportunities for those in the area. Of the company’s recent expansion, Travis Robbins, the President of WPT Nonwovens Corporation said, “WPT is excited to meet the growing demand for American-made nonwovens.”

The new thermobonding line for nonwoven filter media and hygiene fabrics is planned to be operational starting in April 2023, adding more than 10,000 per annum metric tons of additional capacity.
WPT Nonwovens is no stranger to buying new property to support their continued growth as they previously invested over $6 million in a former Nestaway Facility in 2018. It was then that WPT Nonwovens added more than 50 jobs to the already booming Beaver Dam, KY job market.
